Michele Rauch
My name is Michèle Rauch and I was born on July 1, 1993 in Ettelbruck. Given my interest in animals and nature, my career choice was obvious from childhood.
In October 2013, I was accepted into the Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover, where I completed my studies in veterinary medicine in May 2019. There, I then wrote my doctoral thesis on communication with animal owners and within the veterinary team, as well as on the use of actors in communication training. At the same time, I worked as a research assistant at the university, where I was responsible, among other things, for creating and supervising courses for students.
In 2021, I successfully completed my doctoral thesis and started working as a veterinarian at the veterinary clinic in Posthausen near Bremen in autumn 2021. My main tasks were to provide emergency services as well as the monitoring and treatment of intensive care patients during their hospital stay. During this time, I also took part in regular training courses within the hospital.
After 10 years in northern Germany, I decided in 2023 to return to my native country, Luxembourg, and since July 2023, I have been part of the team at the Veterinary Practice in Mersch.
My interests are internal medicine, ultrasound, emergency and intensive care medicine as well as general soft tissue surgery. I try to expand my professional knowledge by following various training courses. For 2024, I have planned a new continuing education in ultrasound as well as a training in anesthesia. In addition, I am currently participating in the webinar series "Internistik Webinare" by Professor Dr. Iwan Burgener.
